   I was looking for a tool for linux and i think freemind would fill the place the best as it has all the features i was looking for.

   yeah, Free Mind is the best open-source mind-mapping tool till now. It runs very fast and doesn’t occupy much system memory.
   The only problem is that the colour is not so impressive and prominent.
