Russian Foxes are turned into Puppies

Russian Foxes

Look at these puppies, you think they are pretty cute dogs? No, they are tame foxes!

An experiment was begun in 1950s in a fox farm in Siberia. Foxes were being bred for their fur but they are wild animals, so they are hard to handle and often too stress to breed. A Soviet scientist Dmitri Belyaev set out to breed a tamer fox that would be easier for their handlers in the Russian fur industry to work with. He began his experiment with foxes determined by their temperament.

And the subsequent result was surprising, the new generation of foxes were transformed not just in behaviour but in their appearance. Many wagged their tails like dogs, and some even had blue eyes. Watch videos below to see these adorable puppies :)

In your view, do you like to adopt a tame fox like this?
