Lagoa Multiphysics 1.0 Demonstration Video

Lagoa Multiphysics

The Lagoa Multiphysics 1.0 engine has been developed by Thiago Costa, who currently works as Lead Technical Director at Ubisoft Digital Arts in Montreal. It is a particle physics framework that gives control over high friction granular materials, incompressible fluids, elastic structures and plastic deformations.

The effects of this physics engine are amazing, and even though its current use would be more in the realm of 3D animation, it gives us a glimpse of how in-game physics could look in the not so distant future.

    Blender, again… :(

  2. Bloggozone says:

wow, it looks so real. It must be a super computer to run this engine smoothly like this.

BLENDER?????? wtf? guys what are u talking about?
Its is made for softimage, not blender. using ICE technology introduced over last 2 versions of softimage… Gee… blender is far away from such simulation technologies. (blender is cool no disrespect) but also 3d max doesn’t have such cool physics simulator. not sure about maya and n particles, or whatever it is called. I would say as much as this looks like real flow from next limit or Houdini from side effects.

  4. That physics engine seems the biz! It might even make films cheaper to make.
