Yes, I am not kidding, this is a surprisingly good news for me as I had to keep an ugly name for months. Many people were in the same situation as me, some companies were going through a re-brand and they even couldn’t change page names. The only solution is that we create a whole new page but you will face the risk of losing all people like your page. Facebook had the reasonable reason to not allow changing page name, they don’t want people create pages, promote and start selling them with other names, that will absolutely confuse users.
Today, Facebook has made some changes in the Page Administrator section and add the ability to change Facebook Page’s name. However, only Pages with less than 100 members can change its name, this solution can please users and limit selling Pages at the same time.
Here are simple steps to change Facebook Page’s name:
1. Go to Facebook Page Manager: facebook.com/pages/manage/
2. Click Edit Page on the page you want to change name.
3. Under the “Basic Information” tab, you now can change Page name in the Name textbox.
This feature should be available on all Pages now, hope this will be a good news for you.

Hey man, I am with Robert on this one, believe it or not but I have been wanting to do this for a while. I hate the ugly long URL I have at the moment. I have heard that Google can have a hard time indexing pages with such URLs too.
Oh, maybe you misunderstood. The Facebook page name is different from the URL of your page. You can go to this page to change the URL: http://www.facebook.com/username/
Your page must have at least 25 likes to be able to set a custom URL.

I see that you are still using the long URL for your Facebook Page, why don’t you set your custom URL at http://www.facebook.com/username/. You can change it now as you already have more than 25 fans.

Actually I had a lot of problem at first when I needed to change my fan page name. Then I scourged the Internet and somehow found out how to do it. Thanks a lot for making a detailed tutorial for doing it since I tend to forget all these things and have to go on searching for the steps. Will come handy If i make any new blogs
Wow its really informative. We can enjoy changing the page name to a required one, at least till the no. of friends reaches to 100. Now no need to delete the pages.

It is because your page has many likes, and Facebook only allows pages with less than 100 likes to change name. Hope it helps.
Is there anyway to change the name of your fan page if you have more then 100 fans? I think I know the answer, but thought I would double-check.

Just double checking – I have 400 fans, if I dete 301 of them and have 99 remaining, will I be able to change the name?
Check in the Facebook Page Manager first to see if you can change page name. I have less than 100 fans and now I can still change my page name. If I were you, I wouldn’t delete hundreds of fans just for a name.
Hi, Tuan, I also would like to change my page name, but I have over 700 fans. If I create a new page with a new name, won’t I lose those fans? I think FB should loosen the restrictions… Let me know pls if you find a way to do this.

Yeah Jana, if you create another page, you will lose all your fans. At the moment, FB only allows pages with less than 100 fans to change page name and I don’t know any other way to do it.
This Option is Available Only if Your Facebook page Has Less Than 100 Fans , If U have More Than That Then U Can’t rename It
Yeah, you are right. However, if your page has just over 100 fans, you can remove some of them to rename it.
I set the facebook username different but it didnt save the page’s username . Is there anyway I can change that?
