At CeBIT 2010, Nokia unveiled the new Nokia C5 and the C-Series. The C5 will be one of the cheapest smartphones from Nokia, selling for $183, excluding taxes and subsidies, and will be available next quarter.
“It is products like this that will grow Nokia marketshare in the smartphone segment and help them to increase their average sale prices,” said John Strand, chief of telecoms consultancy Strand Consult.
The Nokia C5 is an affordable Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphone, with support for Ovi Maps 3.0 (with free walk and drive navigation) and Nokia Messaging. The phonebook shows you the Facebook status updates of your contacts and you’ll also be able to easily update your status and share location with Ovi Maps.
