7 Ways To Access Blocked Facebook

Nowadays, social networks as Facebook and Twitter are used by so many users. But in a lot of companies and countries, these social networks are blocked by firewall. For example, you can’t access Facebook in some areas of Vietnam and China. In this article, I will show you 7 ways to access Facebook, Twitter or any blocked site easily.

1. Access by Editing Hosts File

This is a simple way and works very well in Vietnam. After ISPs blocked Google DNS and other ways to access Facebook, you can still access Facebook at its default address by implementing these simple steps:

  • Go to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc
  • Open the Hosts file to edit
  • Add these lines to the bottom: 153.16.15.71 apps.facebook.com 125.252.224.88 facebook.com 125.252.224.88 www.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 login.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 graph.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 static.ak.connect.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 developers.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 error.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 upload.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 register.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 bigzipfiles.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 pixel.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 0.132.channel.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 1.132.channel.facebook.com 153.16.15.71 error.132.channel.facebook.com

Now, refresh your browser and check if you can access Facebook properly. If it is still blocked, try using Google Public DNS and it should work then.

2. Get your own IP address

You can get a US/UK Proxy or VPN IP address here and it will allow us to access the internet with a UK based IP address instead of current IP address provided by your Internet Service Provider. Therefore, you can access any blocked website with faster speed.

After getting your own proxy or VPN IP address, check out the 4th solution to start using it.

3. Use Proxy/Socks

This is a very popular way to visit any site you want without any restriction. All you need is find a good proxy to use. But when use proxy, your speed can be reduced because of the respond time of proxy server, so you should buy a private proxy/socks for the best quality. All proxies or socks have the same format: 123.123.123.123:1234, with numbers before “:” are ip address, and after that are port. To use it, you need configure your browser as following:

  • Firefox: Tools > Options > Advanced > Networks > Settings > Manual Proxy Configurations > Socks Host.
  • Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Settings > Connections > Lan Settings > Use a Proxy Server for you LAN.
  • Chrome: Options > Under the Hood > Change Proxy Settings > Connections > Lan Settings > Use a Proxy Server for you LAN.
  • Opera: Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Networks > Proxy Servers.

Then fill IP and port and apply. To remove it, just take it back to default.
